Overview

Synergetic Endeavors was honored to serve as the primary consultant for the 2016 convention of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, which is made up of the living recipients of the Medal of Honor, our nation’s highest military honor.

Synergetic Endeavors provided a multitude of services to the host committee in support of this national convention. These services included PR and Communications, fundraising, as well as logistical, budgetary, and vendor support for the numerous events and activities surrounding the convention, including an official public welcome ceremony at U.S. Bank Stadium, the 2,000 person Patriot Awards Gala at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and numerous events both large and small which took place throughout the state from October 3rd – 8th, 2016.

Strategy

Beginning with a host committee which had never before taken on a project of this nature, we quickly secured a diverse cross-section of high-profile elected officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders to create an Honorary Host Committee to build the event’s stature and credibility. From there, we created a narrative and story arc for the convention that was incorporated into the fundraising pitch for potential sponsors, the week-long schedule of events, and earned media/promotion efforts. Our team then utilized this compelling story arc to help raise private donations to support the convention.

Results

Our work culminated in over $3 million being raised to support the convention, significantly exceeding our aggressive fundraising goal. Furthermore, we earned the praise and accolades of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society as one of the best conventions to date and, just as importantly, ensured the convention received wall-to-wall press coverage. The convention was among the best covered in recent memory, with network news stories, radio interviews with Medal of Honor recipients, and newspaper articles appearing every day of the convention. The convention also generated a substantial presence on social media from business leaders, reporters, celebrities, elected officials, military leaders, and event attendees.
